A new digital x-ray image detector has been developed for low-cost, high quality imaging. Optimized for use in orthopedic and dental imaging, the image detector provides a 13 x 13 cm imaging area, produces up to 30 images per second, and provides excellent sensitivity.
The PaxScan 1313, developed by Varian Medical Systems (Palo Alto, CA, USA), is designed to replace the six-inch image intensifiers currently used in many orthopedic and dental imaging systems.
